LIVESTOCK RISK
PROTECTION

Protects against a Market Price Decline

for Feedlot Cattle, Feeder Cattle & Swine

A producer cannot always control the price received for their livestock. LRP allows a producer to “lock a floor price”   for their animals and account for price decline due to market price volatility or a catastrophic price decline. LRP provides a peace of mind that your livestock value is covered if prices fall.  LRP coverage is on a per head basis not weight-based contracts.

Protects against a decline in gross margin.

LGM Cattle gross margin is the market value of livestock minus feeder cattle and feed costs) for feedlot cattle.

LGM Dairy gross margin is the market value of milk minus feed cost.  LGM Swine gross margin is the market value of livestock minus feed costs) for swine being fed for slaughter.

CME Futures prices are used to determine the expected and actual gross margin and not based on the prices you pay or receive.
